Story
Dubbed “Washington’s Most Famous Barber,” Milton Pitts worked as the White House Barber under Presidents Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush. Famous for his staunch republicanism but non-partisan clippers, Pitts was a staple of the White House until his death in 1994.
The Pitts features a red, white and blue pattern with our signature cutaway collar in 120 thread count poplin. Part of our Barbershop collection, the Pitts celebrates both the man in the spotlight and the countless others working behind the scenes who helped him become the man he is today.

Fabric
Egyptian cotton is a particular variety that is grown in only a few other places. It is renowned as some of the best in the world. It has an extra long staple, which means it has longer fibers, resulting in a silkier, more durable fabric. Poplin, sometimes called broadcloth, is a plain weave which means the threads alternately cross over and then under each other. This results in a very smooth and durable fabric that has an almost silky hand feel, particularly with higher thread counts. Also, poplins look very crisp when ironed.
