The Work Twills Collection
BEHIND THE COLLECTION
Inspired by American Mining Towns
Our Work Twills draw inspiration from the mining towns of the early 20th century. Images of the mythical American West—outlaws, prospectors, and a melting pot of men hoping to strike it rich—certainly come to mind, but we wanted to evoke the rugged strength and sheer resilience of these communities above all else. So we designed a shirt with just as much grit.
Cut from two-ply twills from Italian mill Tessitura Monti, our lightly washed Work Twills are what we consider workwear for the city. The shirts have an unstructured point collar and a shorter body length ideal for leaving untucked. Other details include rounded cuffs, contrast piping on the sleeve placket and inside the collar, and a single breast pocket with a pen holder.
For this collection photo shoot, we contrasted the toughness of our twills with a stroll through the colonial backdrop of Georgetown in Washington, DC.
